For more than 15 years, the orchard offers groundbreaking themes to captivate young and old with riddle games in the gigantic corn field labyrinths. Through 3 courses adapted to different age groups, you are invited to solve riddles and overcome trials to complete your mission in the corn maze (of ecological culture). Animated by eccentric characters, the labyrinth adventure allows you to deepen your knowledge, enjoy a day in the outdoors and to share an activity with your peers. So, are you ready to take on the challenge!?
A trip in time to save the future
This year, Verger Labonté is happening last year, starting tomorrow! Confused? That’s because time travel is this year’s theme. Tired of 2020? You’ll be happy to revisit 2010, to take a peek at 2040, to return to the prehistoric age, or to meet an 18th century fur trapper. But strap on your brain real tight: the temporal convolutions will soon become extremely intricate as you desperately try to save the future!
GET TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR CORN LABYRINTHS
Full-scale riddles and brainy logical challenges which are adapted to different age groups will heighten the interplanetary experience of every course in the cornfield and the woodland.
Ordo (15 -20 minutes) For kids 5 years old and under
Prove to professor Tempus that you have a good understanding of time. Travel the small maze by visiting the various months of a typical season at the orchard. You’ll thus recreate the life cycle of corn, from a small grain to the cereal box on our table.
Temporal Tracking (35 -40 minutes)
A mid sized challenge: for school-age youth and adults in search of a quick activity
This is it! The time portal of professor Tempus is ready! In fact, he just came back from his inaugural trip, during which he visited 10 time periods. But he forgot to note the details of his progress! It’s up to you to use the portal and recreate this trip from one period to the other by looking for clues he left behind. Keep your eyes open to spot all the anachronisms.
The Past-Perfect Orchard (1 h 30 à 2 hours)
A real challenge: adults and accompanied younglings in search of an activity where their wits will be put to the test
Meet Annie, young scientist who detected an ecological abnormality in the orchard, in 2020. You’ll have to go through several time travels on professor Tempus’ portal in order to detect the problem introduced in the past to save the future. That’s... if everything goes according to plan. Time travel has a habit of yielding unexpected complications.
